01 / Production engineering
2 min readE-commerce Experimentation & Frontend Architecture
I build e-commerce experiments and improve frontend integration and reliability within an existing production platform.
Context
Production e-commerce, with experiments and shared frontend code running across application boundaries.
My contribution
Consolidated legacy remotes, implemented SSR preloading, and addressed failures in frontend and profile flows.
Engineering focus
Integration boundaries, startup overhead, and failure isolation.
Several contributions. A shared concern for reliability.
This page brings together distinct pieces of my work at lululemon. Each addressed a different part of the e-commerce experience; they were not one end-to-end project.
Working inside an established platform means that an interface change also has to coexist with host applications, shared dependencies, and core customer flows.
Micro-frontend consolidation
I consolidated two legacy micro-frontend remotes into a single Module Federation remote, implemented server-side preloading, and integrated the unified remote across four application shells.
The work addressed checkout startup overhead and cross-application integration. Shared packages and host dependencies are an important boundary here: individually functional applications can still fail when composed together.
Keeping a secondary failure out of the core flow
In a TypeScript profile service, I isolated history-write failures so that a non-critical write would not block profile creation. The work also included client-side identity validation and AWS CloudWatch error logging.
The engineering distinction is between the core action and a supporting action. Their failure behavior should reflect that difference.
React runtime and experimentation reliability
I addressed experiment-induced React hydration errors and checkout hook failures caused by duplicate React runtimes. For the runtime issue, I aligned shared packages with host application dependencies.
Alongside this work, I develop and launch React and JavaScript e-commerce experiments using Adobe Target and Kameleoon.
Evidence and scope
This is a public technical overview of my selected contributions. Internal source code, logs, experiment data, rollout details, and business metrics are not reproduced here.
The implementation scope above is included in my professional experience. This page does not supply a public benchmark or claim an independently reproducible performance result.
